Posted by H.I. McDonnough on March 19th, 2008

In 2004, the sequel to Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers came out and became the highest grossing comedy of all time.

So it’s no shock Universal Studios has decided to create another sequel titled Little Fockers.

In Little Fockers, we’ll meet the child that Pam was pregnant with in Meet the Fockers. He’s supposedly quite the little Focker.

So far, Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Terio Polo, and Barbra Streisand have all signed up for the third movie. We’re still crossing out fingers for Dustin Hoffman to reprise his role as the eccentric Bernie Focker.

Until we have more information, you can get your Meet the Parents fix with plenty of Meet the Parents quotes as well as Meet the Fockers quotes.

Enjoy the following photo montage of movie stills from both flicks.

Sam Rami Takes on Jack Ryan

Posted by Mr. Shrek on March 19th, 2008

jack-ryan-collection-hd.jpg Looks like Spider-Man director Sam Raimi is hooking up with Paramount Pictures to bring Tom Clancy hero Jack Ryan back to the big screen.

According to Variety, Rami will develop and direct a series of new movies centering on the CIA analyst character that was played by Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, and Ben Affleck over the course of four films from 1990 to 2002.

Variety adds that the studio may opt to set the film in the present day, with a global threat triggering the action. This would seem to indicate that the movie won’t be based on an existing Clancy novel. Now, let us know:

Who do you think should take over the role of Jack Ryan?

Reel Movie Reviews: Run Fatboy Run

Posted by Mr. Shrek on March 19th, 2008

reel-reviews-logo44.jpg Run Fatboy Run!

It’s more than just a command to your local, overweight bartender. It’s the name of David Schwimmer’s latest directorial effort. How do critics feel about the comedy? Let’s take a look…

- Run, Fatboy, Run is the type of romantic comedy apt to be described as “nice” or “sweet,” both of which are codewords for “unexceptional” and “useless.”Slant Magazine

- An unapologetic throwback to the days when comedies didn’t have to be all that original — just as long as they were funny. Cinematical

Lift Fatboy Lift

- Schwimmer just doesn’t have the directorial wit to elevate the intermittently amusing script, and none of the cast seems dedicated enough to raise the bar either. Film Journal International

- There are no surprises here — just broad, frequently slapstick gags that don’t avoid but do tamp down a bit on the bodily-function school of yokkery.Variety
