While details of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull have remained mostly secret, the studio just sent over a new and revised synopsis for the upcoming adventure (check it out below, along with a series of photos from the film).

It begins in desert Southwest in 1957 – at the height of the Cold War.  Indiana and his sidekick Mac (Ray Winstone) have barely escaped a close scrape with nefarious Soviet agents on a remote airfield.

Now,  Jones has returned home to Marshall College, only to find that things have gone from bad to worse.  His close friend and dean of the college (Jim Broadbent) explains that Indy’s recent activities have made him the object of suspicion; the government has put pressure on the university to fire him.

On his way out of town, Indiana meets rebellious young Mutt (Shia LaBeouf), who carries both a grudge and a proposition for the adventurous archaeologist:  If he’ll help Mutt on a mission with deeply personal stakes, Indy could very well make one of the most spectacular archaeological finds in history:

The Crystal Skull of Akator, a legendary object of fascination, superstition and fear.

Iron Man 2: Date Pretty Much Set

Posted by Mr. Shrek on May 2nd, 2008

We’re written a lot about the rumors of an Iron Man sequel.

Now, though, Viacom/CBS Executive Chairman Sumner Redstone and Paramount Pictures CEO Brad Grey told Entertainment Tonight that if the movie does as well as expected, the company will greenlight a sequel for the same week in 2010.

We’ll let you know as more information comes in about Iron Man 2. But it’s rather safe to assume the film will perform well enough this weekend to warrant a couple more in the franchise.

Teresa Palmer Possibly Cast in Transformers 2

Posted by Mr. Shrek on May 2nd, 2008

Teresa Palmer, who has been rumored have landed the villainess role of Talia al Ghul in the Justice League of America movie, may also have been cast in the Transformers sequel.

Palmer, who most recently joined Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe in December Boys, has landed an unspecified role in the highly-anticipated Transformers 2. Might this mean that Megan Fox might not return as Shia’s love interest in the movie?

That would suck, but it’s hard to complain if Palmer is her replacement. Take a look and see why:

Iron Man Spoiler: A Nick Fury Cameo

Posted by Mr. Shrek on May 2nd, 2008

For months, it was rumored that Samuel L. Jackson would appear in Iron Man as the comic character Nick Fury, an eye-patched agent of a secret government organization.

Well, now we know why the actor had been denying that he’s in the movie: because he isn’t.

But reports are coming in that Jackson does, indeed, make this highly-anticipated cameo… during the closing credits! Here’s a fuzzy look at it now:

So when Iron Man fades to black this weekend, stay in your seat. Fury pops up on screen and many believe he’ll be prominently involved in the film’s sequel.

Samuel L. Jackson is likely to appear in a future Iron Man movie as the character of Nick Fury.
